1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CutList ("the Service") at cutlist.me, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
CutList is a web-based tool that helps woodworkers optimise the layout of cut pieces on sheet materials and timber to minimise waste. The Service includes project management, material library tracking, cut optimisation, and visual cut diagrams.
3. Accounts
You may sign in using a third-party authentication provider (e.g. Google). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
4. Free and Paid Plans
CutList offers a free tier with usage limits and a paid "Pro" plan with expanded capabilities. Details of plan features and pricing are displayed within the Service.
- Free plan limitations (number of projects, materials, etc.) may change at our discretion.
- Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe you are owed a refund.
5. Your Data
You retain ownership of all project data, materials, and cut lists you create using the Service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that optimisation results will be perfectly accurate.
CutList is a planning tool.You are responsible for verifying all measurements and cut layouts before cutting materials. We are not liable for material waste, cutting errors, or any damages resulting from reliance on the Service's output.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CutList and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data or materials.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Service Availability
We aim to keep CutList available at all times but do not guarantee uptime. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the Service that result in temporary unavailability. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of planned downtime.
We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service for business, operational, technical, legal, security, or other reasons. If we decide to discontinue the Service entirely, we will give at least 30 days' advance notice where reasonably practicable and provide an opportunity during that period to export or copy your project data before closure. The Service, including any stored projects, materials, or cut lists, is not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely.
If you have a paid subscription and the Service is discontinued before the end of a period you have already paid for, we will refund the unused portion of that period on a pro-rata basis. Beyond that refund (and any refund required by law), discontinuation of the Service does not entitle you to any other compensation.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law & Severability
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over any dispute — except that if you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the country where you live. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
